Jet Envelope Printing
High-Speed Offset Printing

jet press 2 color envelopes

Jet Press Advantages

Typically printed on a Jet Press, most envelopes are printed with one or two ink colors (typically on white paper). Due to their high-speed production (60,000 per hour) and fast setup time, these presses dominate the production of commercially printed envelope market.

Jet Press envelope printing is competitively priced from quantities as low as 1,000 to as many as 100,000 or more.

Jet Press Disadvantages

Because a jet press prints on pre-made envelopes, they do not perform heavy solids of ink coverage or bleeds (printing all of the way to the envelope edges) with perfect results. Graphics that run on top of the envelope's seams can cause also cause issues. A jet press only can only print on one side of the envelope (unless run through twice), so if you want printed flaps a converted envelope may be more economical. After seeing your design file your customer service specialist can tell you if they think jet-printing will be a good choice, or they may recommend a converted envelope.
